WHO WE ARE The Somali International Youth Board is registered as an incorporated society in the province of Alberta, Canada. The organization was incorporated in January of 2011 but became strongly active July 2011 the midst of the Somali famine. We are a volunteer youth run organization based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and are working with local and global organizations to promote Somali youth involvement |

VISION SIYB believes that Somali youth can strive to reach their full potential by becoming actively involved in their local and global communities. And encourages youth to fulfill their civic responsibilities by working to obtain and maintain peace, cooperation and unity with all those around them |

Sikh Youth Calgary (SYC) hoping to raise $10,000 for Somalia Famine Relief Flair4Famine is a Bollywood themed Fashion & Performance show sponsored by Crossover Bollywood S'e. The event will take place at the Polish Canadian Cultural Centre (3015 15 Street Northeast Calgary, AB) on November 23, 2011 from 5:00 to 9:00pm. SIYB in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary SIYB is one of several Canadian-Somali organizations collaborating with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary to tailor the Glo Gilrs program specifically to young Canadian-Somali girls and connect them with their older counterparts. SOMALI YOUTH B-BALL LEAGUE Find your SIYB is currently accepting registration forms for the Somali Youth B-Ball League! For information on how to register please contact us. Games will begin Saturday October 9th at St. Mary’s High School form 6:15pm - 9:15pm and teams are filling up fast!
